New Customers

The following is South Logan Water Association’s guideline of operation:

An application for service will be made at 114 S. Main St., Adairville, KY.

At the time of application, a $25.00 non-refundable application fee is due along with an $83.00 refundable deposit.  (The deposit will apply back to the account upon termination of services, to offset any outstanding balance.  A final bill will be sent with either the additional amount due, or the remaining credit refunded.)

Meters:  Only one residence is allowed to be connected to a meter. NO SHARING OF METERS ALLOWED.

Cross-Connections:  Cross connections between the public water supply and a potential source of contamination are not allowed.  Please refer to the service agreement.

Readings:  We begin reading meters the third week of each month.  All meters are read.

Bills:  Bills are mailed around the 5th of each month.  They are die on the 20th of each month.  If payment is not received be the 20th, a 10% penalty is added to the account and a 2nd notice/disconnect notice is mailed out.  Final due date (and cut-off date) will be listed on the disconnect notice.

Cut Off:  If service is cut-off, a disconnect/reconnect fee of $50.00 must be paid before service is restored.  An additional fee of $70.00 must be paid for any after hours call to restore service.

Return Check Policy:  A fee of $35.00 will be added to any account if a check is returned unpaid from the bank for any reason.  A letter will be sent stating the amount due, with a due date.  If payment is not receive by that, the service will be disconnected, and a $50.00 disconnect/reconnect fee will be charged to the account.  A returned check can be redeemed by cashiers check, money order, or cash only.

New Meter Installation:  $800.00 (5/8 x 3/4 standard meter only)

Other meter sizes are available if needed, at a higher rate.  Please inquire if a larger size is needed.
